What are you guys expecting out of a 2nd round pick? Maybe he doesn't fit the needs of this team, but I'd have to think Granlund has progressed far more than the average.

No, I'm not disappointed with his progress, but it's not quite that simple.
As much offensive promise as he's shown at times in his 55 NHL games so far, it is too early to say whether Markus is truly capable of making a career in this league. His AHL time also suggests he could become that valuable (or perhaps even more) down the road, but there's not enough sample size yet to convince me that this is really the case.
Early signs show promise that he could be on that track but it's too early to make that big of a leap and say he's worth more than a 2nd rounder right now.
