Yes he struggled against the Jets, but that was a nothing game with zero commitment from both teams to play defense.
A young rookie with fewer than 20 games being sheltered in the playoffs is nothing.
And you can't compare how much Sam Bennett played to Wotherspoon. Bennett was a potential number 1 overall pick and a forward, the position is completely different. Bennett can make mistakes and it won't be as glaring as a defenseman.
But if you have to compare, it's better to compare Granlund's or Shore's minutes in the playoffs to Wotherspoon's.
This IS a big summer for Wotherspoon, but I think he still has time and the potential to be a legitimate top 4.
