You can compensate some for a small/average C by having big wingers, and Calgary has Jones, Colborne (unless he plays C), Ferland (heavy, not tall) and Bollig (who isn't going to play with those guys).
Monahan was the biggest guy on his line, and they had trouble in the heavy going.
