Playoffs however, personally I think above face value should be allowed (and that's coming from someone who despises scalping, and voted for no markups above MSRP in for sale threads when that discussion came around). Even if I'm paying an inflated rate I'd rather buy from a CPer than Stubhub. Alternatively if I bought tickets above face and for whatever reason had to sell them, I'd prefer to put them up on CP to recoup my money rather than put them on Stubhub or Kijiji.
I think that's basically the reason why above face value tickets make sense, at least for the playoffs. I couldn't make it to the first round, because I was out of town on a pre-planned vacation. I sold one at face value to someone who had bought a bunch of games from me this year, but I don't especially feel like selling at face value, which is way below market. When someone took Tuesday games during the season at face, sure, but for someone who ground me to below my cost during the regular season, well, sorry, but now the market price is above face.

That being said, I would have way rather sold to CPers at the same net price and saved someone stubhub and foreign exchange fees. I also think the electronic transfers of tickets make above face on CP a more reasonable option, as it reduces risk of fake tickets, etc. I also would make a sub-forum for above face playoffs and limit it to members with xx years and xx posts or something.
