Said yes at the time, and still say yes now (at least with respect to the forwards - didn't like the swap on the blueline).
IMO, the trade was made primarily to change the culture. Tanguay was a poster child for the prior regime. They moved him out and got what they could. More importantly, they got the culture changed the way they wanted to.
Could they have been as successful changing the room if Tanguay were still here? Very much doubt it.
Kids look good early in the season. Vets show their worth down the stretch and into the playoffs. They wanted to get a physical RW and, now that he is healthy, that is exactly what they've got.
