Tough call that. I can see both sides. On the one hand, what on earth Subban was thinking of dong that I don't know. Asking for trouble when you make such an obvious slash, why do it when you are already down a man and in a decent position on the scoreboard? Such a stupid, needless play.
But on the other, Stone clearly sells that. Maybe it did hurt like hell at the time, but did you see the way he twisted his body, its so unnatural. But, the rules dictate that it had to be a major and game misconduct given that Stone went off injured, which he probably was at the time. We've all stubbed our toe or trapped our finger in a door, it hurts like hell at the time. But given a few minutes, its fine. Same for Stone. He sells it for sure, but you can't tell me he wasn't feeling intense pain at the time. The refs see that, they have to give the call they did. Rules is rules, no sympathy for Subban.
