Thing is, something can be totally unrealistic and not disturb the viewer's suspended disbelief if it's the right type of thing (like not thinking too hard about the laws of thermodynamics). Others can be more plausible yet just the sheer visual absurdity knocks you right out of your "enjoying fictional world" zone. There have definitely been others. Carol's bottle rocket mortar to gas tank thing had me doing one of these.
