It was 6 months ago and look at what's passed. The defection of Smith. Bizarre looking in the mirror comments, a punitive budget. During the leadership campaign Prentice was different then leader Prentice is.

Why would a Liberal donating to the PC's be the same. For the most part Wildrose people are supposed to be in at least the same political spectrum as the PC's fiscally.

Its not that much of a stretch for a right of center person to donate to what is perceived as a right of center candidate for a right of center party, only to go after the fact, this guy isn't what I thought he was. He talked like a fiscal conservative, and now he's a tax and grabber.

I think your stretching a bit Slava.
Some of those things happened after Jean was running for the leadership though. Sure the defection of Smith didn't, but the budget and looking in the mirror comments (which I frankly agree with as far as the sentiment), were after he decided to run for the Wildrose leadership. Its hilarious that in that short time frame he was confident enough to write a cheque and then suddenly not only get cold feet on that idea, but to outright oppose him. In that time frame the only real change was Bill 10...maybe that is the opposition?

Leadership rules are exempt I think. I'm not 100% sure, but I am fairly sure that in leadership races basically anything goes.
