How long are we going to have to endure possession stats being rammed down our throats as the measure of how good a team is when it's your spot in the standings that ultimately determines how good a team is? Why even play for win/loss records any more? Why not play for 60 minutes and have goals count for players stats but the team with the best possession stats at the end of the game gets two points and the other team zero? This way we can ensure that only the best teams compete for the cup.  |

The decline will happen this season, or in the 2015/16 season (assuming the possession numbers are similar.) Like it or not, there is a strong correlation between success and possession numbers.
