Ah yet another myth; aspartame became popular in the 80s after Nutri-Sweet patented it, because it was the only artificial sweetener invented at the time that
did not cause cancer in lab rats.
Aspartame is not a carcinogen
Edit: Btw, Nutrisweet's patent on aspartame expired years ago, so almost every artificial sweetener manufacturer uses it now.
And Troutman, thought that site is interested, none of its links sites any study in a peer review scientific journal. Links only take oyu to other anti-aspartame sites.
Im not defending aspartame, as I hate diet drinks. But I have yet to see any legitimate study show that aspartame causes cancer.
