Apparently JB and co. weighed in what they could potentially get in the 2nd round vs Baertchi and they believed there wasn't a player that was better in their list.
I noticed he's more of a playmaker than a scorer on some of the videos i've seen so maybe a future set up man for Virtanen.

that's nice but with Sven coming to the end of his contract, and the end of his waiver protection, if the Canucks send him to the farm to finish the season, with his current attitude about playing on the farm, I'm better there's a better then 50% chance that Sven takes his talents over seas next year.
the Canucks are going to be forced to see if he's an NHL player over the last quarter of the season.
This is a boom or bust trade for the Canucks, development time on the farm is probably not an option.
