These crazies use social media and propaganda to swindle stupid young men from all over the world to come join their cause. There should be (and probably is) some propaganda going the other way.
Take this kind of horror story about these young women, put a dude's name in it, and put it on the Twitterbook.
"Abdullah (known as Kevin to his friends back home in Canada) snuck into Syria last month and, instead of being armed to fight the infidels as he had hoped, was used as a sex slave for a week by a high-ranking member of the fanatical group, and was shot in the head when they were chased out of the area."
Just make it up if you have to. Hell, I'd be surprised if something like this hasn't actually happened.
I know I know, I'm advocating the government lying, and the use of propaganda, but what the hell, you gotta fight fire... It's just mind-buggering to me that anyone would want to leave a safe, stable country to join this lunacy.
We all know how stupid people in their 20's (and any age, but "20's" seems to be the target age group) can be. A dirty trick or two to change their mind isn't such a bad thing in the grand scheme.
