You guys completely missed my point.
I was not evaluating the trade based on where these players were drafted.
I was simply making a commentary on how poorly the Thrashers/Jets handled and developed their lottery picks. It is simply an illustration of how it CAN go when you have lottery picks (see Oilers, Edmonton) and that there are no guarantees with draft picks. Even really high ones.
