Just saying there's different levels of "earning" it, and I can understand the ridicule this is bringing from the other corners of the NHL fan universe.
However, wouldn't be surprised if this is lot more agent-driven than player-driven, too.

Tell him how to decorate his apartment while you're at it. He might want a sectional, but he's only been on his own for a few months - everyone knows you have to spend five years with a couch/loveseat combo and earn that all-in-one goodness.
