I agree.
The first time I ever saw Gabe dance was the Summer of 1983, at a CFL game in Winnipg. My Dad and best friend were there, and he joked that Gabe "probably had a few too many drinks." Of course, back then few people knew his situation. Once they find out, most are usually accepting and him dancing is harmless, and nave never really offended anyone to my knowledge.
There was an incident a few years back in Regina, at the Labour Day Classic, where some Roughrider fans were yelling, and poking fun at him. However, the Winnipeg fans he was with informed the Rider fans the situation, and despite the ugly rivalry between our respective football teams, the Rider fans were very apologetic, and even bought him some food at halftime.
I see where people not familiar with the situation are coming from. However, Gabe has always been accepted by Winnipeg sports fans. I apologize to DaChief if my first comment to him was reactionary, as sometimes I forget that he isn't widely known outside Manitoba.
