If you have any NHL caliber offensive talents, you'll generate points like crazy down there because most defenses are terrible. Arnold and Hanowski have shown that at times, but not consistently. That's most of the difference between guys that have top 6 upside (Poirier) and those that are looking like quality bottom 6ers. Poirier is consistently dangerous.
Age also matters. Anyone over 25 should be a good scorer or is just a roster plug.

Agree with your opinion on Hanowski but what gives you the impression that Arnold is inconsistent, he has 21 points in only 39 games as a rookie?
