But the Flames have also done a better job of picking up players like Russell, Colbourne and now Shore. These guys are almost fully developed and stuck in the AHL due to another team's organizational depth. The Flames picked these guys up for next to nothing nothing and it is the little moves like this that have also accelerated our rebuild.

But the Oilers are better at picking 1st overall... so at least they have that going for them, which is nice.

They are good at GETTING a the 1st overall pick. They are actually very NO GOOD at picking 1st overall.
