To me it looks more like Jeremy throwing Rocker under the bus, and then even more so because Val is gone even though that is solely Val's fault. They'll vilify him in the edit but 28 seasons of Survivor have taught me to take these things with a grain of salt... I say this even being of the race against whom the comments were made...
do not trust Survivor edits.
