I give a positive vote for Generals. I threw a set of 10 ply General Grabber AT2s on my truck in Spring, and they've been awesome. I drive Stoney the whole way, every day, and then I drive around on construction sites. Nary a puncture, and the wear has been impressive. 20,000 km so far, and they still look almost new. I could probably get 80 or more out of them, but I'm a tire dork, so I'll be replacing them around 40, and I'll still get a couple hundred for the old ones off kijiji.
Best part about them is that they've got the snowflake rating, so they're a legal winter tire. That probably isn't the case for your car tires, but I mentioned it in case anyone looking for LT tires read this and got to thinking.
