Do you have any proof of this? Because the fact is that the AI becomes more desperate in it's attack, thus the AI strategy changes to all out attack and they are much more incline to move the puck quickly and shoot. I would agree that they is some issues in how quickly the AI react, and how drastic it could play from earlier on, but it's not a case of attributes being boosted while your goalie intentionally lets shots get by them. The goalies let in some very bad goals at any point in the game, so when the AI is shooting from any point in the zone, those are gonna go by sometimes.

A lot of top online players will purposely not dress a 5-star lineup in HUT online because of ice tilt. It's easier to win with a weaker lineup.

In my experience online, I think it's more of the case of the players being better at setting up, and taking better advantage of their chances, and limiting their opposing players. I know if my lineup isn't that strong I try to play a more defensively sound game and look for counter attacks.
