I see the point of parking in a secluded spot if you want to protect your car but as said everyone's motives aren't the same as "car guys". The back of the lot might be close to a bus stop, which I'd guess car guys wouldn't have a clue about, or it might be a convenient place for car pooling meet ups. Mall employees may be told to park in the back to keep the convenient spots for customers.

I kind of take offence at the elitist term "car guys" as well as I consider myself a car guy in many ways but have never owned an exotic, the closest being maybe was my Austin Healey. I've done a lot of my own maintenance and a lot of repairs on all my cars, so I'm pretty aware of my vehicle. I mean if you want to park in the back of the lot to try and protect your car, I understand but there are no guarantees.
