I know a lot of people dislike Coldplay, perhaps with good reason, but their new album is quite impressive. Some lyrical missteps aside, it is their strongest work in some time. The music and production is really good.

Agreed. Frontrunner for album of the year for me. Absolutely spellbinding stuff.

I also love the new Sunny Day in Glasgow album, 'Sea When Absent'. David Gray has a new one which is worth a listen if you're a fan - 'Mutineers'.

I am really looking forward to new records from Bahamas, Counting Crows, and my sweetheart, Jenny Lewis.
