Yeah, but the thing is, the calfs in the rodeo are locked in a little box and let out when the guy nods his head. There ain't no doctoring going on. The only reason it's getting a rope around the neck is for the entertainment of people.
I ate a part of a pig at breakfast, a part of a chicken for lunch, and possibly a part that calf's mom for dinner. So yeah, it's a little hypocritical to bitch about the rodeo, considering my diet, but it's bull#### (no pun intended) when the rodeo is presented/defended as some noble pursuit.
The animals are in the rodeo to make money for people. That's it. They aren't there because their owners love them so much, or because we need to keep people practiced up on handling them so we can get them to the veterinarian.
