No difference between someone who goes to Africa to hunt big game and your uncle. The big game hunter kills his prey and the animal is processed; flesh is consumed and hide is used. Your uncle kills his prey and the animal is processed; flesh is consumed, hide is used. Neither animal has been wasted, just different parties have utilized different parts for different purposes. The hunter himself doesn't need to be the one to use the animal.
