I had no idea that there were so many variations of what people call "beer pong", but you're all wrong.

I beleive we are the same age, I have played Beer Pong at pretty much every party I have attended and the rules are generally the same with a few house rules thrown in:
1: Choose who shoots first with stare-down (Opposing players shoot at the same time while keeping eye contact. Teammates alternate until someone sinks a ball. That team shoots first)
2:
- Regular throw=1 cup
- Bounce shot=2 cups, but can be swatted after the bounce
- If both shooting players sink their shots each cup is removed and the scoring team gets balls back.
- If both shooting players sink their shots in the SAME cup: A) 3 cups and balls back OR B) Grenade (all cups touching the sunk cup are eliminated).
- If the ball is spinning above the beer it can be blown out by a girl teammember ONLY. Guys who blow are ridiculed.
- After a shot is taken, if the ball bounces back to the shooter's half of the table and is recovered by the shooting team, they can take a "trick" or "celebrity" shot (through the legs, off the wall, etc..).
- Each team get's one reform of the opposing team cups per game, choose wisely.
- Upon sinking the final cup, the losing team gets rebuttal shots. For each cup sunk during the rebuttal, the ball is returned and the opposing player can again try to stave off elimination. If the balls miss, they lose. If successful, the game continues as such until a winner is established.
Rarities:
- If at any point during the game, a player is taking their sweet time to finish drinking a cup and the opposing team sinks a ball in the cup in their hand, its an auto win.
- If a ball somehow lands on the combined edges of 3 cups (yes I've seen it), all three are elimiated and balls back.
- And, as with any drinking game, a shutout results in a naked lap: Tthe losing team must make a lap around the party sans clothes.
