Keep in mind that over the 7 game series some hatred was formed between the teams and certain players. Buzzer sounds to end the series and minutes later you're shaking hands with the guy that had likely been saying just as derogatory things to you and is now moving onto the next round. That's gotta sting and I think it's understandable that Lucic was pissed off and said what he said.

I'm not saying I don't understand why he said it. I'm staying he still should have bit hit tongue.
- The handshake after the game happens after games from minor hockey on up
- This isn't the first post-series handshake Lucic has had
- This isn't the first series loss Lucic ever suffered
- Lucic is paid millions of dollars to be a professional hockey player; part of that is to act professionally
- Professional atheletes are role models, and have to ask as such; we hold NHLers to a higher standard in terms of lost of things such as, level of play, but also in how you act.
I think what Lucic did was out of line, regardless of how he felt. If 99% of the other players out there bite their tongue after a hard fought series loss, then it's expected that Lucic could too.
