1st round 2012 & 2013 Entry Re-Drafts
I was looking for the date that the Hockey News 2014 Draft Preview was going to be on the shelves and came by these recent articles on how hindsight re-orders the 1st round for the 2012 and 2013 Entry Drafts (which includes part of the second). A couple of notes is that present NHL's automatically jump to the top of the list leaving the non-NHLer's to be sorted after and it is based on a panel's review and I did not try too hard to dig into their credentials (I just thought it may be interesting for some discussion).
2013

Couple of interesting things here:
-Nurse is the 5th highest rated defenceman, ranked here at 17th,
-Hudson Fasching raises to the 33rd spot (taken 118th by Los Angeles),
-Emile Poirier slots into the 23rd spot (taken by the Flames at 22), although at 22 this was a bit of a surprise during the draft, not so much based on this. Button and the rest of the scouting staff identified the talent appropriately.
-Hunter Shinkaruk plays only 18 games due to hip surgery and places 21st
-The 26th to 29th slip out of the first round, which includes Klimchuck.
2012

2012 is not as interesting because it is 2 years out and there are 11 NHLer’s reducing the amount of players involved in placement
-nice to see Jon Gillies at 30th, the biggest gain on the list after being drafted 75th
-Griffen Reinhart at 14 stands out a bit.
-Though Grigorenko would have slipped a bit more.
-Not surprised that Jankowski falls out of the 1st round and he is not the only one.
