No one should read anything into the take a couple of days thing. It's just normal process. Today was about his college career and that potentially coming to an end. It's a sad and also an opportunity for him to celebrate his accomplishments with his family and team mates. He'd look back on this experience and not be happy with himself if he didn't soak it all in, the good and the bad because he was in a rush to sign his NHL contract.
Plus, imagine the optics if after losing out, he announced his signing. People would question if he was looking beyond his last game at BC and how that impacted things.
No need for him to rush or make decisions when he's emotional .
