The straight of Malacca makes no sense, because it's such a heavily traversed shipping/boating zone. Surely if there were wreckage there, it would have been noticed by now?
Did they fly well past that area and are now somewhere in the Indian Ocean or beyond?

When I heard about MH370s disappearance, I had a feeling this was going to be a gong show. Why? Because in Malaysia, everything is a gong show. My fb and twitter feeds of friends and relatives in Malaysia pre-empted all this by predicting what a mess this investigation is going to be. Malaysians are just not reliable when it comes to investigating something that is of this magnitude.
