Glad it's just a Forever a Flame and not a jersey retirement at least. I hope a long string of forgettable players where #25 for many years to come. Or even better, a future superstar wears it and eventually has it retired and nobody ever associates the number with Nieuwendyk again.
Hopefully the guys who are playing tonight put on a good show. I'm looking forward to tuning in at home (after the ceremony) and seeing the boys in the retro jerseys.

I agree. He was a great player but what he did was a slap in the face to the organization and the fans. Its kind of cool to honour him in a way because he was one of my all time favourites but I think the ceremony should be called Forever a Jerk!
