Lol. Burke deserves a TON of credit for this deal. The key part was where he set Berra's price high and stuck to it. Anybody here would've given Berra away for a mid round pick.
It's funny that some posters don't recognize that the reason we won the Berra deal so handily is the same reason why Cammalleri didn't move. Setting a players price based on the market and your own valuation and then sticking to that price in the face of lowball offers.
Your characterization of the trade is off anyways. COL talked about Berra a few days back but didn't pull the trigger until right at the deadline. Plenty of time for Burke to blink and lower the price but he didn't, he stuck to his guns.
