How has other DEL-"stars" fared when going over to the NHL?
I am not sure, but going the other way there are a lot of marginal and fringe NHLers that have gone to the DEL and dominated... so there is a pretty big talent gap. Wolf has similar or slightly better numbers than recent NHLer Hecht, but then a guy like Reinprecht is a total beast in the DEL.

It's difficult to transfer stats across leagues like that though. Back in the KHL, Jagr was not as productive in a few season than some players that struggled in the NHL. Some leagues are just better for certain types of players. The DEL is known for being a league where smaller skilled players thrive, so maybe Wolf who looks more like a power forward, will be able to adjust to the NHL easily.

Still, nothing wrong with taking a shot in the dark like this (assuming it is true). I totally believe that there are diamonds out there that are just waiting to be found.
