Well ya it's a reasonable guess that Dubnyk's numbers are going to jump markedly and Scrivens' numbers will take a major hit: Dubnyk's numbers are terrible while Scrivens' numbers are fantastic. Dubnyk's numbers can get better and it'll still suck while Scrivens' numbers can take a hit and still look good.

And I don't understand why you think there's so little chance that Scrivens will re-sign. Players care about money, opportunity, winning, and location. Outside of winning and maybe location (Scrivens grew up near Edmonton and maybe he hated it), Edmonton has everything to offer Scrivens. If Edmonton gives Scrivens the majority of games from here on out and offers him a deal to be the team's #1 goaltender moving forward, Scrivens would be stupid not to take it. Outside of Scrivens playing so spectacularly that he leads or almost leads the Oilers to the playoffs, I can't see too many NHL teams committing to Scrivens as the team's defacto #1 goalie. If Scrivens plays well for the Oilers, that's exactly what the Oilers will do.
