well who knows. I am aware that I am repeating myself and it may seem I'm desperate to hold on to a single player, but Alex Killorn of the Lightning really confirms that patience sometimes pays off. When he was drafted in 2007, he was listed at about 5'10" and 160 or something ... he played another year of HS hockey and then the full 4 years at college, and now he's listed at 6'2" and 205 and is a .5 PPG player in the NHL. It happens. Sometimes, you simply can't judge a player after 1 1/2 years of development. Sometimes it takes longer, and given his history prior to the draft, Jankowski should be the poster boy for that. In fact, if Janko was a 3rd round pick like Killorn was, no one would bat an eye. But because Feaster and Weisbrod reached a bit in the draft (not as much as some people think though ... I doubt he'd have made it to the 2nd round) and told the world that they think he'll be the best player of the draft, everybody is looking extra closely and the fact that he hasn't dominated at the college level seems to worry some fans. I say give it at least another year before you panic ... he simply needs time.
