Regehr was no where near close to being a 6th defencemen as a UFA. He still has plenty of game left and is a player the Flames have missed dearly.

Well Douglas Murray did get traded for 2 2nds at the same time as Regher and is doing pretty much what he said. Signed as a #6 Dman, at a hefty paycut, and might even be out of the league next year
Regher has always been better than Murray but I think it is safe to say his trade to the Kings definitely helped out his career and the price of 2 2nds shows what a good GM can get when the trade market is inflated. Guys who play Regher's style always get old overnight and it looked like it might have happened to Regher before he got out of Buffalo
But I don't see what this discussion even has to do with the (awful) Feaster trade anyways. There was no indication that Regher had lost a step during his last year in Calgary and even the day of the trade it was obvious Feaster got a terrible return for a top 4 dman with a good contract
by far his worst move (because the ROR and Richards things didn't happen)
