Some retribution is needed for the Oilers captain bullying a skilled Flames player into a fight last game. No in game response, even with #16 on the ice, to stand up for a teammate getting pushed around, which was certainly the lowlight of this season.

I know we've been through this before, but why is Stempniak classified as a "skilled player"? He's in the same category as Hudler or Baertchi?
This makes no sense to me. Stempniak is good along the boards and can lay the occasional solid hit, yet, for some reason, there seems to be this belief by some that he "needs to be protected". IMO, he needs to be able to protect himself..albeit, to a point.
When Stempniak was back in the game..why couldn't he be the one to go after the Oilers Captain?
I kind of get what you're saying, I just think that fans are way to easy on Stempniak when it comes to his lack of "abrasiveness". He can be better in this regard, IMO.
