I broke my tibula and fibula when I was young and that took me 6 months in a full cast even though I was at an age when healing was "very quick" and no surgery/pins were needed.
Granted I wouldn't have had the athletic background and great doctors he will have at his beck and call to help me heal quicker but it is very likely that he is out for the season.
