The reason for all the hate is because if he's not scoring, he doesn't bring any other intangibles to the game. He doesn't back check, hardly finished his checks, and routinely makes lazy plays that either break up the offensive rush or fail to exit the defensive zone.
To say that he's a goal scorer and is just off his game is complete and utter sh&t! Now I"m not comparing him to the likes of Zetterberg or Datsyuk, but if you look at other players whom Glencross is of similar talent level (Kesler, Brown, Benn, Marchand), what Glencross differentiates is his desire to compete.
I'm sorry but watching Glencross out there, he almost seems content with losing. Which is just unacceptable.
