Well it made him look bad since he was busy attacking the credibility of the Chief of Police just that very morning. And he looks bad because he had been telling everyone his brother was "the most honest politician in Canada".
I did notice that no where in there did he say he was shocked that Rob smoked crack. Everything was he was shocked that Rob confessed when he did.
