You need to relax with your over the top Leaf fandom, according to you, Kessel, Lupul, and Phaneuf are elite and very nearly the best on the game, and Bernier is a franchise goalie.... come on son.
Kessel barely cracked the TSN top 50.... as voted on by GM's around the league.... does that signal anything to you? Actual hockey professionals in the NHL don't view him in the top 30 forwards, and yet SOMEHOW both he and Lupul should be top 20.
Really, calm down. You can't just look at the points leaders at the end of the year and say "oh those are the best forwards". For instance, Kessel is probably in the same conversation, MAYBE, as guys like Bergeron. Bergeron doesn't put up near the same points, but he does many many other things better than Kessel does.
Bergeron > Kessel
Hell, if you go by points alone, PA Parenteau should be considered one of the absolutely best players in the league. After all, he's in the top 30 for scoring over the past couple seasons, so he's probably pretty amazing...
It's just silly to overrate those players that bad. Find somewhere in the middle, because you've got no credibility when your opinion flies in the face of any professional or rational opinion.
