I personally think Galiardi should sit but you do make a strong argument for the contrary.

My thought is that you need to let young guys go out there and play, but they need to remain disciplined. I would agree with your logic if he made a bad pass, lost his man and it led to a goal, etc. But I think discipline and penalties are more than a simple mistake and they cost the team. If you make a bad play, own the mistake and go back out there and show that you've learned from the mistake. I don't think taking a dumb penalty is a play that falls in that category. Sit him, he'll learn real fast that a lack of discipline is not acceptable.
