It's sad that people allow stereotypes and perceptions of select groups of "haters" deter them from just sitting, listening and realizing a band or artist is actually alright. Or if it's not appealing to them, they can at least acknowledge that talent is there. Seen them live myself, (opened for another band) and they were decent, not the best but far from the worst, as the exaggerations here seem to suggest. It's maybe not their live shows that make them great, but their songwriting and style imo.
I just think some people here/in general trash on things simply cause of the what he/she said, and not because they actually sat down, listened through a record and decided it's not for them. Personally, I don't give a #### what the general perception of an artist is, if it's a treat to my ears then I'll give 'em a chance. I'm not going to be some fake ####, afraid to associate myself with something just cause someone said it's only for some specific audience, based on some feeble idea without actual substance, cooked up by other p####s who're afraid to express themselves. That's some highschool kind of mentality that is.
