So he's only going to be in Boston for one season. He's becoming a vagabond like Jagr. This is a big season for him if he wants anything better than a one year contract with some also ran where he becomes trade deadline fodder.

He hopes to be in Boston longer then one year.

And similar to Recchi, Iginla has his sights on being in Boston longer than just 2013-14.

"[You can] call it a cap friendly [deal], but hopefully it’s one that works out and the team’s happy and my family and I love playing there and, hopefully, it can go longer."
