I don't see Fucale at 22 as being a reach. Some drafts have him ranked top 10, some have him in the teens. If he goes at 22 it would probably be considered a drop in where he should have gone.
Regardless, I just do not think that the Flames need a goalie in this draft, at all. We definitely do not need a goalie in the first round with all of the other talent in the first two rounds. We are having a lot of success drafting goalies in the later rounds, there is no point in deviating from that now.
The Flames first round selections should be dedicated to drafting skaters that can make it to the NHL in the next 1-3 years as a part of the rebuild. No projects, no off-the-board picks, no goalies.
