Seriously? I don't think I've ever been in Rob Ford's corner, the guy is a bufoon, and a bit of an idiot with a bluster factor of 10.

I don't hate the Toronto Star, its the Sun of Toronto filled with shoddy journalism and an attack mentality of anything right, Gawker is what Gawker is, A Internet website with no real journalistic value. I'm a firm believer of the old saying "is it real or is it memorex", When I see the Star claiming that one of the journalists has seen the tape, but doesn't take the next logical step of buying that tape and getting the exclusive imagery which could sell millions of copies for a struggling paper, my BS alarm goes off.
I do find that the gleeful attempt of the man by the Star to be a bit distasteful.
I want to re-iterate, I might be on the left side of the spectrum, but I think that Rob Ford is a terrible mayor, end of story. I think that the City of Toronto needs better leadership then what is being provided here.
I also have a hope that this is one of the bigger cons being pulled on people that are willing to toss their hard earned money to drug dealers, I would also like to see media sources held more accountable to what they print especially if there's shoddy journalism involved.

Bobble, I'm hoping that you step back and realize the difference between Gaffe's in the public record and accusing a person of smoking crack and being a racist, which to me are far more serious and to me hold a much higher and unimpeachable level of evidence.
Remember that this is also a paper that accused Ford of beating up a teenage football player during a practice and it turned out to be false.
The Star is a rag, the sun (with the exception of a few column writers) is a rag. But there has to be a standard of fact applied to ever story eventually.
If the Star wants to stand by the video and a story that's potentially a huge dollar story that could save their paper (another red flag for me), then buy the damn tape and show it to the world, then your free to go after Ford.
