Monahan has size (6'2" 186 at 18 years old), had more goals than Lindholm had points, add in his assists and he had 48 more points overall.
Monahan has also been touted to have an incredible Hockey IQ, which would really help a guy like Baertschi, who near the end of the season was really starting to find the right spots. Monahan is the type of Centre that would play to Baertschi's strengths. Throw Cammi on the RW, and get that leadership on the line, and I think they would look great.
Lindholm is playing in a league filled with men. He has the 4th highest PPG average of Swedish hockey players from the SEL in their draft eligible year. The other three guys? Just some scrubs named Daniel and Henrik Sedin and some guy named Peter Forsberg. Lindholm has the higher upside, he should be the Flames pick if he's there. And this is from a guy who likes Monahan a bit more.
