I like Miller and think he will be a good pro player which is often the case for guys in his impact range in the NCAA. He is really productive and am surprised he wasn't drafted though I guess he's on the small side and the older side of things. That's what is most important to consider when comparing college players - the wide age range there is. It's why Gaudreau is such a stud because he is a natural sophomore and to some extent why Agostino would be considered someone to be excited about. The development curve may be a little different for college guys than CHL but it's not all that different in that excellent players who are younger than their competition are very important to note.

Miller is four years older than Agostino and has considerably less development time with two years in an outstanding junior league, the USHL. Miller is a huge longshot to make the NHL and looks like he could be a productive AHL player, first callup the way so many older, undrafted college players over the years have been. Agostino made the jump right from an extremely low level of hockey that players so rarely make the jump direct to college. Agostino is really legit given his age and experience. I would note that I don't see any value from a hockey standpoint in Agostino returning to college - very little benefit to his development. And I don't agree with people making the argument he wants to get his degree given that he is probably very close to completing it at this moment. Athletes at Ivy League schools get way ahead on credits in summers, especially hockey players who plan to leave school immediately following the conclusion of their senior seasons.
