If he thinks he can't honor an extension and play up the level that would be expected of him, then good on him for being HONEST. Honest with himself, ownership, GMs and the fans. There aren't too many players like that these days.
I'm at a loss for words, but I'm sure others will agree with me. You're only upset because a trade didn't happen. Try to look at the big picture. Try to look at what has been accomplished and given by this great goaltender.
