We ended up getting Buffalo's second rounder for free when we traded down. We still got the player we wanted in Jankowski and drafted 2 spots in front of Buffalo. At the end of the day the second round pick becomes a moot point.

I agree with this, and I will always believe we got boned in the trade. That second rounder was still a second rounder we lost. Buffalo gave us theirs for trading down, it really has nothing to do with the 2nd rounder we lost in the Regehr deal.
