The only reason the save by Rask was good was because he was being interfered with. He knew exactly where the puck was going to be. If not for the interference, he could have closed his eyes, stuck out his pad, and made the save.
Because of the contact with the goalie, this shouldn't have counted even if he did manage to get the puck in the net. However, that's a separate issue to the move - he could easily have done the move without interfering.
I don't have any problems with the move, however, with this particular move, its more style than substance. Intentionally limiting yourself to be unable to lift the puck in the air isn't going to let you score many goals in an NHL shootout, as I said in my previous post.
